Collagen Stimulators
Collagen stimulation injection treatment is known to be a “liquid facelift”. Although it is not an overnight miracle nor is it a quick fix, it gives you subtle results over time by replacing lost collagen, giving you a more natural-looking appearance. A full treatment, which average three treatments over a few months, can last up to two years depending on the individual.
This treatment helps correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles, and folds that appear with aging by replacing lost collagen. The main ingredient is a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material that has been used by physicians for decades and have now come back to become increasingly popular as clients are gearing towards a more natural look.
Areas You Can Treat
How Do Collagen Stimulators Work?
Collagen stimulators are made of biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, naturally found in your body. The material is suspended in a solution which is administered into the deep dermis by a trained specialist.
Initially, the solution will plump and lift, fill out hollowed areas, and smoothen wrinkles and folds, giving you an idea of the final results you’ll achieve after your series of treatments. Please note that this will only last for a few days as the solution will be reabsorbed back into your body, leaving the collagen-stimulating particles behind to encourage new collagen within the wrinkle, fold, or hollowed areas. You are encouraged to massage the treated areas for the next five days for several minutes to promote the production of collagen.
The increased collagen production will smooth out the wrinkle, lift the folds and plump out the hollowed regions; skin will regain its previous elasticity and smoothness.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
Although circumstances vary from client to client, the typical recommendation is to have three sessions performed consecutively 6 – 8 weeks apart to achieve the best results.
The results are natural, subtle, and easily retained with a maintenance treatment annually.
